Reel Maintenance Help

HI people , Just curious if somebody could help me with a reel problem . I have a Plueger Torsion 060 an its seems the drag clicker on it is broken, I have taken the reel apart and the tiny spring which im assuming used to be hooked up is gone. (literally disintegrated) after I hooked up to a decent sized mulloway . Is this common and could there have been anything I could have done to have prevented it , also what is the best solution to fix this can I buy the small spring to re-attach it or would the problem be something more serious ?

sounds like just the spring.
sounds like just the spring. that wont do the reel any harm not being there, just wont hear it

Yeh Im pretty certain it is just the spring , can I buy these in any tackle stores , I really like to hear the drag go when im fishing for certain species.

cant see why you cant get it
cant see why you cant get it from a tackle store, worst case , they have to order it in for you. i would suggest dont go to one of these big chain stores , go to one of the smaller owner operated stores like oceanside etc
