RIP John K Watts

I was lucky enough to meet John in a pub that he owned back in 2001. We on a footy boys night out when all the country lads came down to the big smoke. Pretty sure one of the lads is married to his daughter and he kept the jugs flowing and sat with us telling some ripping yarns.
Larger than life character with a big heart and big laugh.

Must have been the one, it was on Guildford Road and was the one that burned down. It was that night that I discovered that he wrote the Swan Districts team song along with the East Perth and Geelong team songs.

Yeah it certainly was the Maylands I'm pretty sure Polly Farmer had a share in that pub too. I always remember Bazza Martin every Thursday at the Last Drop tavern in Kala when I drank there in my younger years.
