yes at the main jetty drop a live trumperter down with 200lb handline and your on. i have lost one there at the jetty because i was using a stradic 5000 with 30lb braid but i have seen some stonkas caught there.

Yeah some huge residents at the main jetty. He wasn't keen on the trumpeter when I was there but he was having a red hot go at the Herring.

theres not just one haha.
theres not just one haha. get a livie in the water and it takes seconds for the fish to be onto it. hooked into a suspected 35kg+ one last time I was there. pe4 was no match on my saltiga, dusted up on lock up drag

I have a mate who lives in rotto he regularly fishes the ferry jetty using live herring and has caught and released plenty of sambos there
