Rotto fishing
Hey guys, i've been a member for a fair while but have never made a post, so have made a start with some photos from yesterday's trip and a couple from the other week. headed out with a mate late morning yesterday rotto bound and found ourselves some nice ground which had us bag out pretty quickly. first drift produced a nice queen snapper for myself and nice baldy for my mate who was stoked to finally get his first sized one.
Second drift over the ground saw sonny on to his second nice baldy which put up a solid fight on light gear and another larger queeny for myself that was dropped near the boat.
Next drops produce amixture on different fish along with another queen snapper which were all released when a finally got what a was chasing with a dhuie of about 9kg
(the one more drift) saw us both hooked up to much larger dhuies which resulted in a leader rub through up near the boat for me and a good old reefing for sonny who was using much lighter gear, bagged out we decided to target some ytk's instead but after 40mins of berley my normally productive spot weren't producing so we decided to head in while the wind was still light. The shots below are from our last trip out to Rotto, all on plastics.
