Rotto Help

Hi everyone, I havent been on here much - I've had bugger all time for fishing and havent been over to WA for ages.  That is now about to change!  I am heading over this weekend and will get to visit Rott for the first time.  This is where I need your help....

Firstly can anyone point me in the right direction to some good land based spots at Rotto.  I am not after monster fish (but they are always welcome).  Just want to get out, have some fun and maybe get a feed too.  What sort of species should I be targetting now?

Secondly, what sort of gear will I need over there?

And lastly, if anyone is at Rotto this coming weekend with a boat and is keen to have a deckie, drop me a line.

Thanks all

Gus

The end of the ferry jetty is always a good producer of herring and tailor around sunrise and sunset. Burley cage for the herring and unweighted gangs with mulie for the tailor. I was fishing there a few weeks back and there were some solid schools of tailor. With demersal bans on at the moment its your easiest and best bet on a feed.
