Rotto trench - looking for advice for coming season

Last year we only managed 3 trips out chasing marlin or YFT for the first time at the trench only got a 19 footer so weather stopped us from doing more trips out. We thought maybe its best to just troll from HYC FAD south through all of the FADs and got nothing. When you take that route your never in more than 200m depth so question is should we follow the deep trench dropoff which i see on navionics starts at about 240m going to 400+m quickly then slowly flattens out between 500 -600 m  What kind of depths do most marlin get raised

Look more at current and sea temperature maps and thermals more than your depths.
