Here we are discussing round 14.
I want to start this off purely to state my admiration for a wonderful player, Jonathon brown. Unfortunately I feel we have seen the last of him on an afl ground, and that is our loss. He has taken one too many knocks to the head to play on. If he chooses wisely too call it quits, he does so with my absolute respect. A player that has only a focus for the ball and to the detriment of the game he put his head in the way. I fear for his wellbeing. I hope for his sake, he makes a decision based upon what is best for him and his loved ones.

Amen. Would be best for his long term health to probably call it a day. Nobody would begrudge him making that decision, he has acheived alot. Hopefully he does not end up ruined down the track, like the way Diesel Williams is ending up.

Good point Randall and thankyou, considering some of the comments people made regarding Darren Glass quitting halfway through the season. He made a very measured choice in my opinion as I'm sure Jonathon Brown is. This is their career they are quitting after all I'm sure if they could have it any other way they would.

When you look at another legend Diesel is brain is frankly rooted from Post concussion syndrome. There is a long life after foot but unfortunately Greg williams is suffering from chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), a degenerative condition which has affected some athletes who have had a history of severe concussions and other head traumas. It was reported that Williams was suffering memory loss, including that he no longer recalls many specific details about some of his greatest football achievements, such as Carlton's 1995 premiership game.[18].
That is bloody sad IMO.

I don't think we will see another Brownie for a long long time if ever , if he pulls the pin good on him .He has played the game with guts and with his heart on his sleave. And that scowl on his face in the Afl add says it all , I would have had my money on him against big bad Bazz and Tony Locket if they had a run into each other on the field , lets just hope he doesn't have any long term problems

Tigers, dogs, pies, and the Suns could really do freo a favor this weekend and win. But in reality I think only the Suns have any hope in doing so. I reckon they could be a chance to knock over the cats at metricon. Dockers, eagles and crows to win. And the Giants and Dees to upset the blues and roos.

Now there's an objective outlook. Every commentator on game day said dawson not guilty. Very clumsy but not guilty.... lets wait and see.
