One centre bounce, should have been recalled but the offending umpire decided to instead penalise McKernan for blocking Mummy. First bad one.
3rd quarter a holding the ball free that would raise some serious eyebrows. That resulted in a goal to Dons 15 M out directly in front.
Last quarter very dodgy high tackle paid to Essendon 15 metres out directly in front.
We all know about the "touched" goal by now.

I'm very confident Hawthorn will beat Collingwood next week but it doesn't really change much for our season. I had us finishing 6-12 realistically, it's looking like we'll be on the lower end of that with a tough run home.

Good old Jacky boy, thanks for the concern but just on nightshifts ATM so giving me some personal time at night to cry over 2 weeks of missed points for the Dockers...
Serious heart shown by Carlton there, no doubt Dockers just choked from 32 points to bugger all at the first break but Ed Curnow had a ridiculous amount of clearances and I think 7 in the last - he was epic..
I'm goin to wait until closer for weather etc as to if I risk any cash on the Dockers this week, law of averages says after 7 or more in a row the Eagles have to lose one soon?! Not holding my breath but unpredictable nature of Freo means they could easily lose 2 weeks in a row against bottom teams and turn up to snatch a win off the reigning premiers..
Either way I'll be watching every minute, seen to much pain in 25 years to turn away now..lol
Also, to those Dockers supporters spewing about the current form, if anyone said after 15 rounds we'd be clinging into the top 8 after last few years prebooked late August bali trips I'm sure they'd take it - Im certainly happy with the year so far.

Football is turning me into a fat alcoholic (need someone to blame) - 3 cartons and 2 lunches already won from Dockers supporters this season to date and another carton on the game this weekend and one on who will finish higher out of the two clubs at seasons end!
The secret - get them in January and February when they specialise in winning flags and climbing the ladder and lock them in for the season ahead.
PS - got to love the two week football cycle.
2 weeks ago; Freo were the best team in WA and were labelled 'the toast of the town' and Walters was getting ready to run for Prime Minister.

I’ve got an ongoing annual three way bet with my brother in law (Saints) and mother in law (Freo) whereby you buy a bottle for the person who’s team finishes above yours including finals. We started doing this on xmas day 2010 when I was getting heaps for WCE winning the spoon and I’ve only ever had to buy the one bottle and received 15 bottles of Kraken… soon to be 17.

The Freo loss to Melbourne was a fucking great game of footy for your club albeit a loss. They can hold their heads high if they play like that yet lose in a close one.
My team was around the mark for the first few months, they lost plenty they should've won. In more recent times they've been lacking confidence and pretty rancid.
The game on the weekend was enough for me to again have faith they can beat anyone on the day.
And fucking oath they'll beat the pies on the weekend even though the bookies ain't rating them even though they've won 11 of the last 12.

I love how Freo fans love saying - 'the eagles had a blessed start' 'the eagles had a state side when they began' 'the eagles were gifted their early flags' etc etc. Never let the turth get in the way of a good yarn.
It is one of those things that if you say a lie enough times for long enough, it becomes the truth.
Their are two unfortunate realities that dockers fans must come to grips with;
1. It is a two horse race in WA, and unfortunately dockers fans picked the wrong horse and those two horses happen to race each other each year. Doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result is the definition of insanity?
2. You may never see your team win a flag in your life time. My brother in law was born on the day the dockers played their first AFL game, and is a staunch supporter/member. I have suggested that he lay off the piss, eat healthy, lose weight and get regular check-ups. This might take a while....

Brock - you are right, WA was loaded with talent at the time the eagles entered the comp, there was also M. Rioli, Buckenara, Baker, Brad Hardie and Winmar to name just a few more that weren't playing for the eagles. To call the eagles side a state side at the time is wildly fanciful.
You are right again, he is a typical Fremantle supported, often; dissappointed, left wanting, angry, starved of success... and drinks from the goblet of false hope around january February each year. Was a bloody funny one the other day, he was harping on about how he is going to get my 1 year old daughter to be a dockers supporter in the years to come. My wife who shows about as much interest in the footy as a born again christian does in evolution said 'Curtis, I thought you loved your neice? Why would you try subject her to pain and suffering?' Classic.
All that aside. I have great seats for the derby this Sat night! My first ever dockers home game derby. I'm looking forward to taking a shower in the purple rain that is the dockers tears.
