Dont forget boys & girls,
with the demersal species season open on 16th,
You must carry a release weight on your boat.
Just a friendly reminder.

I will make the phone call on Monday and find out how many have been done , I yes do carry a release weight , but why does there need a law for it ?? to put that law in place probably cost you and me at least 200 dollars each in tax

No problem Peter. Let us know
No problem Peter. Let us know how you get on.
I believe the law was put in place as part of the major bag reductions a few years ago. Because the number of fish allowed was so dramatically reduced there needed to be a way to ensure they were released in the best condition possible.

I believe it has to be attached
to a line, not just laying loose in the boat, could be wrong

i have been searched with fisheries asking to see my release weight , once they inspected the eski and saw two large dhu bangers on ice..... i showed them it as it was sitting comfortably in one of the drink holders, they asked did i have a spare rod for it, and i said yes and showed them it. I did not get a fine for not having it connected.
a hard days fishing still beats work

Hey
Thank you. Didnt realise this coming from Karratha. I would have gone out without one as I take it easy on fish, and have rarely caused barotrauma (apart from up north skull dragging to get away from Noah's).
Heading to a tackle store ASAP.
