Safe boating jacket

While I was out fishing on sunday I started thinking about my chances of staying afloat if I happened to fall overboard with the jacket I was wearing. I think I remember Paul talking about some warm boating jackets with a pfd built into them on IFISH. Anyone have anything like this or know where they may be available?

They look pretty good. Slightly off topic but is anyone using water activated pfd's? I like the idea in case you land in the water unconscious but are they likely to be activated if you take some spray or a wave over the side (we are on a centre console), or do they need to be submerged to activate?

 There are reports of them

There are reports of them inflating fter copping a big wave when sailing. It is only a thin paper membrane. Also, if you were to end up under your boat and it was to inflate, you would be stuffed hence the "don't inflate until you are outside the aircraft'"

 I've had one unexpectedly

I've had one unexpectedly inflate. Stepped out of a dinghy into water that was deeper than I expected. Was a surprise when the life jacket popped open a second later. Manual operated for me.
