Salmon ???

Just got back from a fish at Woodies and saw two asian fellas catch a massive salmon that would have been 5+ kilo, they got broken off on 2 more fish. Never seen 2 guys as happy as they were to catch a salmon, was fun to see them really enjoying there fishing. I was fishing with a lure and they were not interested at all.
Was a large school just off the rocks, gotta say I was surprised to see salmon being caught at this time of year. Is this normal?

Saw a couple of guys catch a couple of point peron ( boat ramp side) couple of weeks ago, so must be some late schools about.

big school was busting up a school of bait. Couple of kayakers got onto them too.
was surprised they're still hanging around too... Think they'll pretty much become residents now

Brother just called me and said there is a huge school of salmon
at Mewstones reef (north of carnack island) right now. He was out there a few weeks ago and got heaps on lures along with big tailor but this mornong they wouldnt even look at a lure so if your heading out that way might be an idea to take some mulies with you cheers dave

Saw someone out at Rowboat Reef
Pulling in a few yesterday afternoon. All I came up with was a nice size Tailor from the same area. I hooked a couple last Friday out that way when I was out with Pete D, first one was on light gear and it busted me off. The second one came out of the water and spat the lure. It was a horse, very fat. Pete tried casting a few lures but no go so changed to a plastic and on its way dow the S/P was taken and up came a nice sized pinky. What a bummer (LOL)
