Salmon surprise

Took Friday off work to target snapper then head into the deep to bottom bounce. The snapper illuded us, but thanks to the birds curiosity put us on a large shoal of salmon. We had great fun on light gear, releasing all fish successfully. The day ended up with a good feed of squid as a consolation prise.
How did everyone else go?

Nice to see a few still around. Cant complain about a feed of squid and some light action fun for the day.

good fun chasing herring
nice catch i had about a 6kg salmon give my 2-4kg sienna flicky a great workout fishing off torpedo rock in some interesting conditions

they
aren't the best tasting fish Azrael. Edible when fresh but the squid would have been tastier.

Try smoking them
Absolutely beautiful when done with maple sugar and salt. To me better than Spanish Mackeral.
