Hmmm if only we knew !!!
There are a few people that know about them in cockburn sound but its a pretty tight secret!!
I do get a few bigger ones out of the river but they are few and far between!

At this time of the year
Great Whites are far from good company in the sound - until the CSBP cyanide spill you could get a good feed just naving out from the D9 and working a square pattern but the spill ( 10 years ago approx) devastated the fishery and turned the bottom into a proverbial desert - however they are back in shallower water (8-10 metres) BUT the whites are really active and having been closely visited by one a couple of seasons ago I for one am not going to try my luck a second time "cos I have never been lucky

I've seen some on rockwalls
I've seen some on rockwalls around the sound when having a snorkel
Wouldn't say they were huge, but at the same time i'm hesitant about the quality of eating due to above mentioned spills and other commerical activities expecially as they're close to the surface

Haha if any one has a spot I doubt they will pas it strait over but just a rough starting point would be good,ye I've found a couple of big ones in the river but the meat inside was quiet small ,alot of effort for not much reward

Lot of work but taste great
After shucking which is the laborious part - Dipped in egg and breadcrumbs and shallow fried until golden brown (in hot oil around a minute max) - if overcooked turn rubbery
