Dhue went 16 kg . Still got it up . Rod broke while in holder ( drag wasn’t set) basically high sticking without holding rod in stand up rod holder

opps, just read the other
opps, just read the other post.. mate of mine broke a t-curve on an average fish when we were in exmouth.... seems to be a common theme.

For the record,
My mates wasn't in the rod holder. He was using it in his hands when it snapped. He landed the fish, and put it in the holder for a photo

Should be replaced
Must have been imperfection when it was made . My rod was boys fault ( in rod holder ).

What was length of dhuie out
What was length of dhuie out of curiosity? I got a 900mm dhu last trip but I never weigh fish. Maybe I should because when ppl see photos they always what it weighed. I guessed mine was around 12-15 kgs but I could be way off
