Up here right now Blooch and it's pretty well weeded out. Buttttt if you head south of the town onto the track (you can do this two wheel drive) you'll come accross some some old house ruins. About 500m down the track, the beach is reasonable year round own that way but can become from time to time. Was just watching a massive school of big Tuna busting up about 200m out. Can't get the boat out though :( 

 They were big boys I thgought at first a shark cutting sick until they started jumping. If you have a 4WD then head souyth of town as I mention and check out all the little spots along the way. They all differ from day to day fishable wise.

 Yes tavern is open and you can get bait at seabird cafe. We were up there last week fishing and went down the beach in front off the pub and 2 fellas were doing well with tailor and seen them pull up a nice shark also which they kept. Just make sure u get bait at least 1hour earlier than there closing time because they do close early if not much happening or just call and let them no you are coming and they will stay open when running late, good luck.
