the white rope is ours... the floats in the background is a pot. Couldn't get away from pots today... there are all along the back of the three mile at the moment - seems they are walking out??
If you give me the coords Wayne, I'll be happy to do a stocktake tomorrow morning, hehehe.
Found a good ledge in OR on Saturday with half a dozen to a dozen crays, went back the next day and just one :s. I wonder if its usual for them to move a lot day to day? Perhaps good ledges hold them longer. Will be interesting to get a report of what they're doing next weekend and see if that spot you went to still has them.
hlokk - haha...funny you say that as we had a similar experience with this ledge last season. We dived on it and it was packed, we bagged out (like on sunday) then we went back the following weekend and it was empty.
I'm guessing we either scared them off, or they continue to walk out or move to another ledge? If we head out this weekend we'll probably check it out again so will let you know what we find...

Bucket full
Whites by the bucket full.
Hope thats a hooka line or anchor rope, not a pot rope. The pros can get real shirty when they find divers near their pots

Nice job Wayne. Bet you
Nice job Wayne. Bet you can't wait to get the gun out for a nice appetiser to go with mains.
To get away from the pots the pros need to find some more ocean. The 3 mile has a pot every other fin kick at the minute.

I assume the whites walk
I assume the whites walk during the night, and hide during the day.
