Secret Harbour Salmon Trout

Fished a nice hole at Secret Harbour this afternoon for a couple of hours. Little bit of weed around but it is cleaning up, hit a patch of 1kg Salmon Trout which hung around for about an hour...... was a good bit of fun.

Well done, would have been a fired up session. Get any on topwater? I love catching salmon trout, they just fight so hard. I reckon you could put a kilo trout strapped to 10 herring and it would pull them all backwards.

LOL, true I was having so
LOL, true I was having so much fun with them I forgot all about the big rod and my date with a Mullaway. I should have flick some lures at them but was having too much fun to change what I was doing.

Salmon trout fillets are a
Salmon trout fillets are a great bait for mulloway too, they are nice and big fillets that resist pickers pretty well. A popular bait in south aus where they are a more reliable beach target. My mate in robe only uses them.
