could this weekend be the end for freo or have they got some more to give, cant see the cats or kangas bothering anyone from this weekend on.
iam sorry to say i think port will run freo empty for a 22 point win and the kangas to straight set the cats by 17pts.
i think freo need to call the rain gods and keep ports skill out of the game, good luck knock out comp tippers
either way ill be watching every minute

After watching Ports demolition of an in-form tigers team on the weekend, I think Freo could be in a bit of trouble if the sun is out. Should be a ripper of a contest though. And I believe Geelongs experience will get them over the line against the kangas. Depends on which Kangaroos team rocks up though. They've proven they get beat the big teams, but will nerves get the better of them?

Don't write off freo yet. Backs are against the wall. I reckon they showed last weekend that the defence is good even without luke and Johnno there. Port won't be allowed to free wheel and score at will. I have got my tickets and look forward to good hard contest. Who ever wins, tim will be very nervous next week.
Can't see either north or geelong troubling sydney too much. Perhaps geelong have too much defensive and midfield class for the kangaroo.
Freo and geelong for me, and a sydney v freo grand final.

Port might have kicked Richmond's but last week but mainly in the first 1/4 and it's not like Richmond put much pressure on them at any point in the game. That being said Port have relocated their mojo and belief but I'd expect a bit more pressure from Freo so will definitely be a close game.

Off the finals for a second..... Rumour has it WC are interested in howlett (sigh) and a fringe dockers midfielder.....who apparently is open to the idea and out fo contract. They link stated they would rather not name the dockers player due to the dockers still playing footy.
Can only think of sheridan...or possibley max duffy. Was on the big footy forum. They have the link there to the article.

Selwood- didn't even fall over, contact was closest to stomach and then head clash (opposed to Fyfe -head first, big impact).
In real time no one even noticed, just that Selwood got a cut that bled.
This is my balanced view .
Think Tomo Hawk last week - punched guy in the head and free to play.
I feel they have a different set of rules for finals.
Harvey would not get off at tribunal, has to be declared insufficient force beforehand.
Wise man says - first take the plank out of your own eye before trying to take the speck out of somebody else's.

With all due respect you need to watch the fyfe bump again. It was all shoulder to shoulder contact initially with the head clash afterwards. In the fyfe case at least the other player had the ball. The Harvey selwood contact is away from the ball and any contact that draws blood has to be deemed forceful.

Don’t agree with the blanket rule myself .. unless it’s obviously late , eg “ Buddys not guilty one “ .. Could be wrong re Boomer but it was well off the ball , who knows it’s so inconsistent .. Think Hawkins was a jumper punch and apparently that’s ok ..
Think they only have a different set of rules for Swans and Geelong players ..
Edit : “ Insufficient force “ argument was successful for Buddy and Goodsy , because both opposing players played on unhindered .. Harvey’s contact was off the ball and also Selwood left the ground with the blood rule . They haven't been very consistent so just have to wait and see I guess .
