Caught by a mate, I'm thinking sandbar but he says the pec fins were very long (over a metre each), he's not sure what species.
Has no teeth and a broken jaw which I assume is from a longline/drumline?

I'm going to go along with it being
A sand bar, it was pointed out to me by I think it was Canarvonite that the high dorsal fin and long pectoral fins are a guide to the species being a sand bar shark.

Big
Looks too big for a sand bar whaler going by the size of fingers on the head as a comparison, no teeth are a worry, can't be sure thats from being hooked but sandbars like most whalers have triangular shape teeth.
Ask your mate what the skin felt like as sand bars have a very coarse skin, thats why they are nicknamed thickskins
Thinking dusky whaler but not sure
