Shark shield issues
Had a freedom4 for maybe 8 or more years and worked a treat. Upgraded to a Freedom7 which I have had for 2 years, work overseas so it barely gets used, always soaked in a tub, dried and stored in a bag (out of direct light). The 2 wires that go from the battery to antenna have split/cracked in multiple places through and subsequently wires have corroded through.
I am really disappointed that $700 spent, barely used and the rest of it in perfectly good condition ends like this. Great product, mine was a new batch and obviously cheap wire used. Tried to call shark shield but they only want to talk if your buying a new one (spending the $$$) ref you to online page, trade in for a few hundred more. Pretty pissed.
Has anyone else had the same issue?

Hard to see as its a crap pic but both wires are cracked at the top and also both at the base connection on the right.

Just go up to their office
Just go up to their office and speak to them. That's what I did when my old ones wouldn't hold charge and they were great.

Yeah I had one that
flashed green as normal and he put it on his multimeter and said it worked fine but touch it underwater and nothing. He did the trade in for 200 bucks thing.

Speak to your retailer
Your retailer is the one responsible for Consumer Guarantees (NB: Not manufacturer's warranty). If you bought direct from SharkShield then they are the retailer.
Obligations of the retailer under Consumer Guarantee from ACCC website:
Products must be of acceptable quality, that is:
•safe, lasting, with no faults
•look acceptable
•do all the things someone would normally expect them to do.
In your case you could definitely argue that the product is not "lasting" as could be reasonably expected.
If the retailer won't play ball, contact ACCC.
