Shimano Stradic 8000 FJ With Full of 20lb Braid... What Rod?
Submitted by FlyingBaby on Tue, 2012-05-08 21:13
I would like to do a lot of jetty and rock fishing for salmon, taylor, tunas to Mallos... using bait and may be spinner sometimes...
What rod should I be matching it with? or how would you match it?
Budget... No more than $150 but open for suggestion...
Hope to hear from anyone...
Thanks

rovex aureus in that range
rovex aureus in that range ~$120 depending where youll be fishing most any of the 10-11-12ft versions
for a beefier outfit a FWA 11'6 has the balls for decent weight and bait

Lemax President Royal
Have a look at the 9ft Lemax President Royal. The nine footer would be a good compromising length for fishing off jetty, rocks and beach and the 100g lure weight would cover you for metals and light / medium sinkers.
They're great rods, light to cast and really tough in the bottom end. There are quite a few FW members who won't hesitate to rate them.
RRP is $150 but flick me a PM to drop 10% off that if you're interested.
