Shimano TLD 10

Hi Guys
I've got a couple or TLD 10's sitting in the garage that I am thinking of setting up for metro trolling.
I was thinking of running 10kg mono on a 10-15kg rod?
I bought these reels sometime ago and never got around to using them, do you think they will be up to the task?
Any input or suggestions welcome.
Cheers
Jim

Cant see a problem. Might be to light for trolling up in the north where you can get bigger fish, but metro should be up to the task, and should you get so lucky as hooking a big YFT or 20K+ mack it would be great fun.

From memory the 10 should get about 300ish m (maybe bit less) 10kg.
shouldn't be a problem. Macks are fast but pretty easy to stop

Thanks for the replys
Thanks for the replys fellas.
I ordered a couple of carbon fibre drag washers for the reels so when I get home in a week and a half hopefully they will be waiting and the weather (and fish) will cooperate.
On our way to anchor behind the Montebello islands so will have to see if there is any fishing gear on board!!
