Shore-based fishing at Lancelin
Submitted by Colin Hay on Fri, 2008-05-23 12:13
I am thinking about making a trip to Lancelin to do a bit of fishing. I wonder if anyone has had much experience shore-based fishing there and if they know of any good spots to toss a line. Unfortunately I don't have 4wd, so I will be a bit restricted. Any suggestions on good places to stay would be welcome too.
Many thanks, Colin Hay

Thanks Sharky
I see the record tailor caught around there is just over 4.5 kg. Wouldn't mind hooking one of those.
All the best Colin Hay

Hey Colin
There was a crew fishing of the jetty the other week when I was up there over easter.
Cant remember what they said were catching but do remember it kept them coming back over a few nights.

Thanks Neander
I am sure there must some tailor off the jetty in the mornings and evenings. Got to have something to aim for. I don't know whereabouts they caught it at Lancelin, bt it would be a great tailor All the best, Colin

Me too buddy
Not sure if the skippy I have been catching lately would impress anyone. Hope to see you with a sailfish in yours when you come back.
