I'm also running a 12" Evo2.
I'm also running a 12" Evo2. It's a cracking system. I'm not using radar but have autopilot, 3D structurescan and chirp sounder. I'm just running the TM150 chirp tranny. You need to spend up on transducers with a external power unit also to go 1kw so looking at $4k. I've seen some cracking returns though from 1kw chirp.
there is a great "Simrad & Lowrance" group on Facebook that is Australia wide with plenty of Navico guru's to guide you.

What fishing will you be
What fishing will you be doing? 275LH-W is a a wide angle tranny more suited to trolling and marking fish in the water column. For botom fishing you want a narrow cone. If you can run dual channel look at B265LH or single channel B175H or B175M in thru hulls. Transom mount, TM265 or the TM185M is the same element as the B175M thru hull.
Have you looked at Garmins 7400xsv series. Proper 1kw dual band chirp built in to the units. No need for black box sounder
*edit, sorry just noticed you have already puurchased Simrad

You can plug and go a 1kw
You can plug and go a 1kw single channel chirp but you won't the the full benefits without a BSM3 or S5100 external module. The head unit is only 250w chirp which is the equivalent of 600w old school power.

This is with the TM150 and standard 250w chirp unit power. Kingy's on top of bait with a jig going through them. (Not my pic)

same same
Im running a evo 2-NSS12 with TM275lh-w and love it. Used to have it via the BSM3 module, but recently upgraded to the S5100. I got pics of the phone, still getting decent returns on high chirp at 260meters. I briefly remember that on the low setting, the cone with is adjustable, but never had enough curiosity to look into it further.
I dont run radar, but would highly recomend autopilot.

Cone width will change with
Cone width will change with frequency on LF but high is 25' across the full bandwidth.
At 260m on HF your cone width on the bottom is 116m wide.

getting the bottom line final answer from a bunch of blokes that use false names and put smiley faces at the end of paragraphs is not the best place in the world to get the information you seek.
