single hooks

heres a pic of some lures ive got .ive decked them with single hooks.this is a first for me as normaly i run them with the trebles.has anyone tried this before .ive read in different mags and such that your hook up rate increases or the fish once hooked has less of a chance of spitting the single .im just wondering if anyone out there has given this a go and what sort of success they had .also do you think the hooks are the right size .the hook point is slightly of set. i would of perfered just a straight hook but thats all i had.any feed back would be good

Offset hooks = spin

I think you will find that the offset hooks will spin a fair bit and maybe effect the lure action in the water a little. I haven't tried them myself so I am not speaking from experience, just thinking outloud.

I've heard that once hooked

I've heard that once hooked you have a far less chance of the fish spitting a single than you do with trebbles. Not sure how it would affect your hookup rate though.

Single hooks

I no my cousin in Kalbarri uses single hooks on the larger raiders when spining for Mackies and Tuna off the cliffs. He tells me the hook up rate is heaps better and swears by it.
