Small Machining job

Hi All looking for someone who can do a small machining job for me.

My transom door has a slide bolt that goes into a hole drilled in the fibreglass glass next to it with a bush just pushed into it.

Would like to get a stainless bolt drilled out to accept the slide bolt and have the head machined down to say 1or2mm. I can put a nut on the other side which will then be a more permanent solution.

Slide bolt looks to be just under 10mm dia but can confirm when I get a chance.

Thanks

Hi Tim
cant help on the machining but did something similar with a transom door on a previous boat, my slide bolt may have been a bit bigger but i used a small stainless skin fitting (like one below) - think i got it from whitworths

Tim just cut out a 50x50x2mm piece off stainless with a hole to take the latch bolt . Fix with some small countersunk screws.

Much along the same lines as pelagicyachts suggestion above,

Would go that way if it was 10mm. These are just that little too wide a hole and could rattle

Put some heat shrink over the end of the slide bolt.
