Have a look at the
Have a look at the spheros/saragosa/socorro range in the 8-10k size.
Personally Im not a fan of setting the drag really light unless Im fishing a jetty where the rod is laying down and I have no choice. I prefer to set the drag with a fair amount of pressure, enough for the fish to hook themselves but not too much the rod is going to get ripped out of the holder. This works really well with circles but doesn't fail too often with J's either.
Unless you're holding or are very close to the rod chances are the fish will be gone by the time you can engage the reel and set the hooks yourself, especially if using a paternoster rig or similer where they don't have much space to run without feeling the sinker.
I'm a firm believer that if the fish wants to eat your bait it will do so and hook itself without you needing to leave the reel in freespool to let the fish 'run' with the bait.

thanks hutch great advice
i also believe the same thing thats why i have never bought a bait runner before i guess it would be alright for swan river mullys and stuff but not so much pinkys what is everyones thoughts on the biomaster 10000 i have the 5000 and love it do you think wait for the sustain to be fixed and continue to use that or to buy a biomaster and when the sustain come sback fixed just sell it ?
