snapper from today

today went out 1st time since coming back from exmouth went on the hunt for snapper with the missus had 1 quick hit but didnt hook up. fished afew hrs after the tide change nuffin happening decided to call it quits started bringing in the rods got to the 2nd last one when it screamed off and after a good 10 min fight boated this nice 7kg snapper which took a big squid head the missus wanted her photo taken with it

no worries have u been out much on the snapper and whitting, there are still alot of snapper around out wide at moment this was my 1st trip in ages 4 them as just mainly been fishin westernport 4 gummies what boat u got? i dont usually fish down that way i stick around carrum to frankston and do very well

Havent had much luck here yet. A few small pinkies and flat head. Got a 18 foot Fraser with 90 HP merc on the back. Have heard western port is pretty tricky with the tides. Is that true
