So you think your tough?! Rounding Cape Horn 1929.

Rounding the Horn with Captain Irving Johnson aboard the Clipper Peking.

This video always seems to be deleted quick under copyright but a rough version has popped up on Youtube.

Good watch, the real rough stuff starts around 17 minutes in.

Cool footage, thankfully we have satellites to help with weather forecasting. I have always had an urge to sail, that footage really

shows how bad the seas can be, take my hat off to Jon Sanders, David Dicks, Jessica Watson and Jessie Martin.

Those seamen  lived well with risk,  maybe more so then than now. Bloody brave to be on those decks.

That was unbelievable. Pretty ballsy stuff, and we whinge about winds over 10 knots.

that is when men were men and not pooncey metro sexuals, I was at the moon and sixpence last thurdasy arvo, gelled hair I will leave that to the young blokes , but what surprised me was the blokes obviously in late 40s early 50s that had their hair jelled up , ever heard the term mutton done up as lamb for females , I thought of a term for them grey muzzle dogs done up as puppys

Sat, 2014-02-22 13:52

HAHA, we had an IT guy fly up from Perth to do some work.  He had his hair gelled up and din't want to wear a hard hat.  He asked if he could just hold the helmet above his head to save his hairstyle.  POOF!!!
