Distance
How far can she travel in a good day?The cliffs between Kalbarri and Steep point cover some 100nm,its a fair distance in a boat let alone a kayak. The conditions off them is like a washing machine with backwash and incoming seas making it uncomfortable on the best of days.

Well i have just read Freyas
Well i have just read Freyas updates to monday and tuesday (days 212/213)sea sick for the first time in over 200 days at sea and could not see the horizon from 7.00pm to the next morning with 4 meter waves crashing over her,she is very lucky to survive that leg, her mantra all night was "Survival mode, survival mode"
For intersted folks how it works is she sends sattelite messages for each day, then when she lands she goes back to that particualar day and writes the storys, so if you clicked on tuesday yesterday she might have not written it (has now)i think we are still waiting on Wednesdays,,she is abit crook at the moment i think.

A lot of people might have thought she could die on that leg Russ.
Personally i thought the Great Australian Bight would be more dangerous,,but maybe theres plenty of landing spots along that coast, i didhear she had a shark take a bite out of the yak, not sure if it was the old yak that got replaced at Broome (think it got wrecked on a reef, plus shark damage, lol

One tough lady
great she has kept at it - i remember the book i read a couple of years about a couple of yanks or a yank and an aussie who tried the same thing - wimped out in the top end somewhere or the Kimberley.Called "Keep Australia on your Left" not a bad read just the same.
