Some big surprises from down south

Had a brilliant couple of weeks down South over the break. Got out a couple of times from the new marina in Augusta, the highlight of which was this Dhu which went like a steam train in 9m of water. Called it for a sambo or YTK because it took off on three big runs & kept fighting right up to the surface! Very un-Dhu like.

After New Years at a friends in Margs gorging on fresh crays, Dhu & the biggest marron I've ever seen we hit Hamelin Bay for some free diving & cray wrangling. Ended up with an full esky including a jumbo pulled from 2m of water only 20m from shore!

p.s. Excuse the "flexing" with the jumbo. Photo was a split second after the bugger kicked me in the stomach!

Nice haul there!

Without Barotrauma, Dhu fights really well. Was told by Whitey that he pulled some Dhu in 4m water that went air-bourne like barra!
