Sounder pics

Put pad on lawrance rather than just using it as gps. Pretty impressed 100 percent pinks. Could see them chasing plastic . No hit , bait went in bang. I will keep trying .

Pointed out prob doing it to quick. Use to using them on reddies . Get away with more aggressive moves on them.

I've go to ask the question

Is that all snapper in the first pic or what is that object that looks like a sharp panicle in the middle of featureless bottom, not asking for where location just interested in strange object.

Over a wreck in Cockburn. Big sailing boat snapped in half. Was good dive . Heaps of life on it ( occy , bait ect) also seen heaps of big scallops around it.

Assume scale is in feet not metres

As you mention it was in the sound.  I recovered and still have the rope from the mast of that yacht when I used to dive regularly. Have the scallops returned or should I say recovered from CSBP spill almost ten years ago which decimated them at the time?

Heaps there

I don't touch them. Don't like scallops and wouldn't trust eating them from this area.:):) pinks different . Move about ,scallops not so . But in saying that ,they can move out if they want to.

Totally agree

I used to harvest them but after the cyanide spill wouldn't consider it as heavy metals accumulate in the flesh.  Used to enjoy night diving the Sound for huge leader prawns....not lots but so large well worth the effort.....
