Squiding near d9. Had 1 only one. Come up and smash herring near us. Seen it for 2 mins. Then left. Didnt have any gear to try catch it.

Bloody water up here is filthy
has been for weeks with all this swell. Has warmed a bit recently, now around 23.4, lots of schools of scalies, with only tuna chasing them. Trolled a big skipjack tuna, but nothing else for three tries. Might try again in the morning before bringing the pots in.

Glad to hear mate! Lots of bait and birds hanging around the middle 2 days ago was thinking there must be some around already by now. Last season near D9 they were jumping through bait with longtail tuna, the mackies were coming right out the water
