Sparrows
Managed to drag myself out of bed at sparrows this morning to see what might be bighting off the rocks at Hillarys. Got there by 5 and fed the blowies till 7. Watching all the boats leaving the harbour I must say I was a bit envious, I hope they had more luck than me.
On the way home I called into the Nodes and Pinaroo to see how much weed was there, not sure if it was because of low tide or not but I could actually see the sand under the water and very little weed. I hope the weed does not come back in with the tide, because I think I will try the beach this evening .
Something, some where (with the exception of blowies) is going to swallow my hooks .

Where abouts were you fishing at Hillarys esrun
I tend to find the blowies are bad from about 1/2 an hour after sunrise on the north wall, but are not so bad on the main (south) wall. Have you tried up near "Boy in a boat" reef on the main wall. You don't seem to get too many blowies there and you can catch some pretty nice skippys and such most of time.
That is good news on Pinaroo. Can you give us a report on how the weed was if you do go back down there.
Many thanks, Colin

Hopefully the wind
will drop off a bit, certainly coming in strong at the moment. The kids want to have a swim and a fish, so if the weed does not come in on the tide then we will all be happy .
