squid

Hi all, i was made redundant yesterday so I'm want to have a crack at something I've always wanted to do, catch a squid!
I'll be honest, I'm a shit fisher, went to BCF and they sold me some jigs and i know from diving south mole there are squid in the sea grass so if i stand on south mole and cast towards the grass tomorrow what are my chances? Any tips more than welcome.

Not sure about the beach but from the boat theres lots around. Seem to have good taste at the moment and going for my green or orange harimitsu's and zuri's. Mix it up with the jigs as you work up and down.
Sunrise and sunset are by far the bestimes.Drag them just above the weed using twitches pauses and stuff like that. Failing that ill take ya out next time I go squidding!!

Squid are a perfect target for a shit fisher Albie, you will be fine ;)
Just move around if you don;t get any, first few casts, and be prepared to try some different jig colours.

Even a shit fisher doesn't catch squid! had a ball trying tho. Reckon was a bit late didn't get there to about 930.
