Squid in Geographe

After spending a day out in Geo after some squid with a nil result. Was told by an oldtimer back at the ramp that a pro squid boat had been working the bay, hence no one has been catching many. Would there be any truth to this ,i havent ever heard of it before so was a bit suss but ya never know. Any of you local Busso crew no anything re this?

If that's the case, they must be all hanging out around the Busso Jetty.  Was there last night and like many regulars, had no dramas getting my bag limit. Just before sunset was a squid a cast.

We got a few the other week, only fished for a morning. Got one with a 32cm hood.
