Hey guys finally took my boat out after nearly 4 months work. Had a good run everything seemed ok except the steering pulls hard to the right when on plane havnt opened it right up for this reason what could be the cause of this.

Trim tab
Hi Shane. Try adjusting the trim tab on the motor in the direction that your boat is pulling. Just move it small amounts and check how it feels. After a few test runs you should get it just right

There is a small skeg/anode that is adjustable
in front of and above the prop. Loosen the bolt and turn it to the right dont forget to retighten. Mine pulled to the right real bad and I had to adjust the skeg to the right quite a long way - just keep adjusting as Rosie said above. Mines a 2004 merc so im presuming yours has the same adjustable skeg/anode.

My boat used to pull hard to the right, more so as we went faster.
Previously I had the battery in the aft starboard side, and the fuel tank on the port side. During one of my 'idea' sessions, I moved the battery to the bottom of the console, to move the fuel tank to the middle of the boat (over the sump).
That move made by boat plane in a straight line
