Stella

With the new range of Shimano Stellas being out for awhile, I was wondering if there was any feedback on the new model when directly compared to the previous model(Stella FA). I realise anyone who has picked up a new one would be reluctant to bag it, but some objective comments would be good.......

haven't even got to use mine
haven't even got to use mine properly yet, feels very nice in the hand though. Noticeably lighter, as usual it's extremely smooth. The drag clicker is alot louder, should be good when those GTs make a run for it. Aesthitically it's a fair bit nicer than the old model.

I've seen it, I've fished it
I've seen it, I've fished it and I like it but don't own one yet but I don't think it's too far away. And this being from a hardcore fan of Daiwa reels like myself. I think it really means something.

I'm pretty sure there isn't a +$1000 spinning reel he hasn't owned and used.

lol....thanks for the
lol....thanks for the plug...NOT!!
Yes I do have/had both of them. Had the 20k FA, still got the SW8000PG/FA, now I got the new SW 20k. Just used it today on the sambos...or rather SHARKS!! Its a whole lot lighter and spool clicker is louder, ARC spool and the drag knob is easier to use now. Other than the above mention, they are still the same reel, runs the same oscillating system but at slightly different speeds.
So really the new ones is better in smaller ways, rather than a whole new reel. Im glad its lighter but!!
