Suprise land based tuna!

Hi guys went down south a few weeks ago to try get into some salmon off the stones instead of taking the boat out. Bloody epic day with 16 xxl salmon on big live baits and 2 sbt(I think lol) spinning metals while waiting for our livies to go. First fish was 11.4 kgs (pictured) and his mate prob 15 mins later that was easy twice the size of the first fish that ended up pulling my unofficial boga scales to 28.2 kgs! Such an epic day with the weather as good as the fishing! Sorry for the unatractive pic, almost killed my mate when he told me he forgot the camera as the second fish was released to catch another day!

Bet the bigger one went good. Did the slit behind the pec bleed him out well?

Yeah mate the bigger one went nuts but I did hook the small one on my lightest combo(ci4 4000 on a 6 kg t-curve) which made for an awesome fight! Both fish were airborne mid strike too so that got the heart pumpin! And tim-o that is the shadow from the pec fin, there is a small slit just behind the fin running vertical on the fish and yeah that's the way we do it on the longlining boats, works a treat! Thanks guys
