TAYLOR HELP

Hello fellow fishing addicts

I am after some info and help as to where i can get me a feed of (big) taylor.
I live in Rockingham and have a boat. I used to get a few by the grain terminal
in the sound, but the last few times nothin biting. I have fished from a couple
of beaches up around long point and port kennedy but only ever get the smaller ones.
I usally use a gang with whole mulies or a lure.
I would prefer to get them from the boat though.

Can anyone give me a hand at all?

Thanks
your addicted fishing rat.

Most close inshore reef

Most close inshore reef systems have tailor there at the right times of the day. Good chop and tides are the key. casting poppers or even unwieghted mulies into the white wash will produce some quality fish. If you find that your only getting smaller fish then add some wieght to get down quicker because almost always ive found that the bigger fellas are hanging deeper. Time your casts so as the waves break over the structure and white water is exposed this is the time your bait should splash down. If the tailor are there they will hit it quickly in this period as they are as we know very sneaky preditors.

Offshore tailor fishing is one of my favorite styles of fishing as boy is it good fun, just be careful of freakish waves and always keep the motor running around these structures........just incase you have to move quickWink

Keep it tight, reeeeeeel tight!

winter greenbacks!

This is a great time to get big greenback Tailor. I prefer now than the summer run but both are well worth it. "Fresh" tailor tastes good with a few chips & salad!
