theft
What suburb was it taken from? Does he have any ID for the lower unit? I've just ordered a secondhand lower unit for the same motor. Ill check if the mechanic does a dodgy. Let me know. PM me if it has any telltale signs.Waz

I have had stuff stolen off
I have had stuff stolen off my boat as well in the past. It will start to happen more before the start of summer when everyone is getting their boats ready and they find that they are short of some items.
Some folks seem to think that they have the right to "acquire stuff from other folks". Very sad.

How many people in this
How many people in this state would have that motor brand, model, 200HP?
Who would have the skills to re-assemble it?
Where would parts go?
Mechanic?
Yard?
It would fit in the boot of a car?
Would have they followed you from the boat ramp?
Its a small market in a small state with limited numbers of Yamaha V6 200hp 2 stroke.
Some investigation into the sales would drill down to some smaller numbers.

I noticed a boat in a boat
I noticed a boat in a boat yard with the leg missing, I know it's a yamie 2 stroke, can't remember if it's a 150 or a 200hp. probably just a coincidence might be getting serviced, it's up against the fence in the front yard has been off for a few days It has twin donks. I'm pretty sure it has twin 200hp, just struck me as a bit weird how one of the legs are missing, if you want I can PM you the boat yard might be worth giving them a call to see if it's been nicked or being serviced.
