was down at Cervantes today and noticed new bollards put up at thirsty point.
looks like there trying to stop cars and boats going onto the beach. anyone know wots going on ...cheers ray

Beach access was not allowed
Beach access was not allowed from the thirsty point road, due to erosion the shower block there was removed as its foundation was undermined and most of the car park was lost to the ocean. The car park was fenced .
Going back 15- 20 years 4x4 access was blocked at two points with wire ropes and bollards to prevent access to an area around thirty point

so wheres the best place to beach launch from
would it be next to the jetty near the lobster shack

Most boats launched from the
Most boats launched from the beach of Corunna road. It is possible to launch next to the groyne but limited space and tends to get more surge there
