Got a nice bag of fish today and lost something huge that bit through 80lb wire trace (no need to guess) after a 15 minuit fight.
Couple of firsts . One being a wolf herring which guys on here identified for me and first time trying a lure for whiting and managed just the 1 with it .
All up better than sitting in front of the tv all day. Wind was a pain tho at times pushing gusts to around 50k

All the better to give you a very nasty bite as you get the hooks out of my mouth. Good catch there Russ, did you break the beaks of the gars, I can't recall seeing them with such short beaks.

Only got the 1 on lure . Too damn windy to get a decent cast. Can't tell you the lure at the moment . Bok is in the work truck . Will let you know tho

I have caught other sharks using the same with traces. This one was just a bit too big for the wire. It was pulling some serious drag out
