Transducer placement

 Howdy all

l have just purchased a furuno 582l colour sounder with p66 Airmar Transducer.  I want to get the transducer put on right the first time.  I'm not too sure on where to place it on my western craft hull.  So would someone be able to come out and help a brother put it on correctly as I have never done this before.  I would rather get it done right the first time as I have read that this is most important to place it correctly.  I live in Warnro and would be most appreciative if some one could help me out in doing this cheers.

Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

Not to good that one cuts out on the lowrance elite 5 at speed I'm going to remove that tranny and just use the elite 5 for navigation only the template for new tranny is for starboard side don't know why that is so

that lowrance tranny should be level not following the shape of hull, that could be why it cuts out at speed

I had a lowrance tranny next

I had a lowrance tranny next to a P66 on my old boat and there was next to no interference so I wouldn't be afraid of putting two next to each other again. If you're going to keep that lowrance one I'd suggest straightening it so it runs vertical rather than off to the side. I've only fitted 2 P66's in my time but found on both occasions I got the best results going as low as can go.

Hey Darryl
Im happy to pop around and have a look with you. Your only around the corner anyway.
My last one read at 30knots with no problems so hopefully we can get it right for you.
Might even be able to sort your bracket problem too
