Thought you guys would appreciate these pics of a few truth reels beggining their life up in Virginia USA.
Where it all begins. All parts are CNC machined out of solid blocks of 6061 T6 ally.

For anyone else reading, FYI there is a reasonable amount (all things considered) of discussion on Alan Tani's website regarding Truth reels, for me this says a fair bit.

Yes Alan Tani is certainly the guru and he has had some good things to say about the reels which is great.
A few good breakdown threads of the reels, albeit the Release versions. Truth Reels started life as Release but had to rebrand after tradmark infringement with a similarly named company. Reels are largely the same but release are Gen 1.

The SS (Small Star) has a
The SS (Small Star) has a mechanical spool tensioner and is the jigging / trolling reel. It is smaller than the TN30A holding 500m of PE4 but carries similar drag at 25#. The reel is v low profile with a recessed reel seat. www.truthreels.com/pages/ss
The SM (Star Mag) is the tricked out verion of the SS with a mechanical spool control and mag cast control. Ridiculous casting out of the box (200m+ in the right hands). www.truthreels.com/pages/SM

Great to see all the interest guys, the reels really speak for themselves... I'll get some more manufacturing pics up soon..
FYI there is a 30W equivalent coming shortly and later this year a 50W that has 80W capacity but comes in lighter than 50W competitors.
I'd post a pic of the prototype 50w if i could work out how
