Forget sea breezes forecast
Forget sea breezes forecast and check out the BOM forecast. It has winds stronger and from N to NW, Willy weather has it stornger and from west to NW. Predict wind agrees. Once again sea breeze seems to be way out diection and speed wise. However time will tell stick your head out of the window tomorrow to find out

What u guys talking about? Should be mint out there tommorow. Seas / swell below a metre. Even if wind did pipe up a bit (which it's not meant too) should be the goods. Never listern to sea breeze. Wish I could get out

Was a beautiful day out
Was a beautiful day out there Gordon, punched straight out to the bank for 3 Big Baldies and a 550mm Blackarse but no Dhuies. Highlight or lowlight depending on how you look at it was son put out a floating mulie and within 10 mins it was hit with a massive screaming run. He went undermanned with only light braid
so couldn't turn the fish and ended up snapping off, big Mackie no doubt. Rerigged on a stronger outfit and got hit again but the hooks didn't set ffs. Still happy to be out there though. 6 Crays out the pots finished the bag.

Sweet.....couldn’t believe the beach cams
Looked brilliant but prior commitment unfortunately and now the rest of the week stuffed with commitments......so much for having time in retirement. Mackies usually easy on light gear, more inclined to suggest a hammerhead, go like the clappers much like a mack but much harder to turn

Good day for it
I'd been watching that window as it marched along the forecast, had let the work team know that I'd be in late on Tuesday...
On the water at 5:30, bagged out by 7am!
I usually use soft plastics and let the decky deal with bait, but this decky was all about the soft plastics... so out came the bottom meat for the first time. Seemed to do the job on both Dhuies for the bag. Decky was very unhappy with his lack of fish pulling ability!
I find having a spread of bait and soft plastics really good, when they're not into bait they'll smash a plastic, and vice versa.

Donuts
I fished the fads for a few small tuna, then dropped in300m for some green eye, then into the 50s for undersized Duns, baldies and black as,
came home with esky full of ice and a bin with empty beer cans.
......but the weather was perfect.

Perfect weather
Left the ramp at 330am and had a dream ride out to the bank, had our bag by 6.30. Got a couple of good baldies. Really nice nannagy and a banger.

EPIC CONDITIONS. TOOK THE
EPIC CONDITIONS. TOOK THE OPPORTUNITY TO HEAD TO THE FADS FOR THE FIRST TIME. DIDNT CATCH ANYTHING, BUT WAS EXCITING AND EDUCATIONAL ALL THE SAME. werent too many boats, but i was under the impression that there was a ertain ettiquette to follow at the fads. were quite a few boats that didnt really seem to think the same. doing double passes, really short trolling loops, motoring in really close etc. now understand why they can shut down so easily. did make me wonder what the "F" in "Fads" actually stood for. having said that, will be waiting for the next good day to finally get a dolly! defintiely a bucket list fish of mine.
found some new spots in the 50s whcih look good, but home with any empty esky and half melted ice. and a big smile.

Hopefully you'll get one
Hopefully you'll get one next time mate. They are great fun to catch, look good and taste great too!
I go with a mate who tends to troll close, much to my frustration! I would rather drift and cast lures but beggars can't be choosers!
