Turning the corner

 Hi guys,

Just chasing some advice fellas. Got a 18"6 baron sportsman that sits on a dual axle trailer.

The problem is where I park it at home I have a very tight S bend to get it into position and no room for the car to perform it so as you can imagine it aint an easy task by hand.

Do you fellas think if when I park her up I take the front tyres of the dual axle to make her turn easier the trailer should still be right with the weight of the boat?

This will only be a short term option as eventualy with a bit of convincing the wife should allow me to do some gardening to make a straight short through to the boat.

Cheers in advance for your thoughts gents.

Tights lines.

Have you thought about a front hitch?

You are a lot more manoevrable when you are backing it in connected to the front of the vehicle. Or, get one of those motorised trailer helpers?

I have a friend with a similar problem. Boat storage is 90degrees to drive way and he has a small steel trolley with 4 castor wheels on each trailer wheel. Uses trolley jack and puts a castor trolley under each wheel and can then push by hand in any direction. Like when u see the V8s being pushed around in the pitts.

Ranmar850 unfortunatly no room what so ever even for front end towing.

Crikey also thought of this but the way driveway is bricked small castor wheels would be even more of a mission than what I already have.

parking is next to garage but have a large garden bed the same width as boat parking infront of area and about 5m to perform the turn into position.
