just how much line do you have out if you are fishing 400+ metres of water and what sort/type of line are you using.
That's a bloody long way down, are you using an electric reel, I guess that might be a silly question but.

Yeh mate electrics with a good 1000 m of 80 lb and a shit load of weights. Usually only have around 500 m out when it hits the bottom though mate
