Two Rocks Monday the 15-9-14
Hi Guys headed out from Two Rocks on Monday with conditions being unfavorable we bounced our way out to about he 6nm mark where we found some cray pots, we then decided to drift from there as we didn't have any ground that was marked in the area and my deckie was now sea sick so didn't want to punish him any more. After a couple of drifts over the area had a nice hook up 6kg dhuie was landed, bled and dispatched into the esky. Proceeded to drift the area and caught three more dhuies all under sized and all released successfully. Conditions made for a tough day out but all worth it in the end. As a newbie to this caper I'm pretty sure I was fishing onto of the reef direction bank anybody know the area well enough to confirm this? Next time I want to hit up the 10nm mark with better conditions and a healthy deckie.

Good result in trying conditions. Well done.
Amazing how different the same fish looks in both photos. Shows you how good it is to get a shot while the fish is still alive...and the angle (or distance) make it look heaps bigger in the second shot as well!!

Direction Bank is 14nm out
Direction Bank is 14nm out from Two rocks .The ground you were on runs for miles ,and consists of broken patchy reef\coral\sand. You will always get a feed there..Not a bad day in shity conditions and sea sick crew. Send me a pm next time your heading this way and i will point you in the right direction.

God fish tho, and to be honest you get good fish right behind the main 3 mile reef, we've caught dhu's in there before and plenty of pinkys
