Jump on google earth and use the "ruler" function gives you the distance between 2 given points can choose nm,kms, metres etc.

have the cords as follows 31.09.89s/11511.81E but theses dont seem to be the right area if any one has a more accuraty cord it would be much appreciated if you could pm me!have be out there a few times , i have a navman 6500 but must be looking in the wrong area,any advice would be helpful cheers

Your co-ords are 0.32NM out to the NE so yeh that's why you probably couldn't find it!
